Job description from the Election committee:

The job is the extraction of envelopes and ballots from the return envelope.    Two volunteers sit together at a table.  When we have a new volunteer, they sit with a seasoned volunteer.  Before starting, we give the volunteers instructions.

The envelope and ballot extraction process by the volunteers takes around 2 to 3 hours, starting on May 1.  Although the official start of the work is 10 AM, volunteers must arrive at least 30 minutes early, by at least 9:30, to receive training.
