TGIF - UPDATES, SAVE THE DATE JANUARY 16 DON'T MISS IT!

LATEST NEWS!

First of all - Prayers for our friends, families, former colleagues and neighbors who were living in the communities in California engulfed and devastated by fire.  It looks like Lahaina, Maui  August 2023.    So very sad.  Several studios have shut down, lives have been lost and LA will not be the same for quite some time.

Save the Dates:  PUT ON YOUR PHONE APP

Google Calendar 2025 is a good one.

  • January 16th - Topic "How are you doing on your New Year's Resolutions, goals, bucket list etc" and how can we help.    This evening will be all about tips and apps to help you attain those goals.   We also have a FUN Brain Buster segment - Name that Elvis tune from his movies and other movie and TV questions.    Updates on what is happening at SCA that will impact the clubs, ours in particular will be part of our discussion.   Reports from 2 committees - facilities and landscape and Community Lifestyle Committee plus general news you might have missed.   Have you signed on to the new website?  Let us know your thoughts and questions.
  • February 20th - check out our website story about  the AMAZING AI Showcase - Music and Art by Mike Molony that will be presented from 5:00 to 7:00 in the Nelson room. Conversation on how AI can help you create.  Refreshments will be served and conversation is sure to be enlightening.

The Restaurant situation and staff changes have caused some scheduling problems at Independence and we still do not have space yet for workshops in January.   Hopefully by February we will be back on track.     On the list are:  On Camera makeup, Reporter class, AI editing, creative writing, Make compelling videos and how to make a YouTube video that will get hits!

PLEASE help us get our class space by sending an email saying what you learned or accomplished from our workshops in 2024 and what you are hoping to learn in 2025.  In the meantime we can still mentor so if you need anything email multimediasca.com.

Studio time is still Tuesday.   If you have an idea to pitch let us know.

Have a great week!

Step into a mesmerizing fusion of classical artistry and cutting-edge technology as master digital artist Michael Molony unveils his groundbreaking collection. Drawing from the rich traditions of Art Nouveau, Realism, Art Deco, Impressionism, Surrealism, and Abstract Expressionism, Molony harnesses the revolutionary power of artificial intelligence to create works that challenge our perception of what art can be. With five decades of computer science expertise, Molony pushes the boundaries of digital creativity, producing pieces that seamlessly blend timeless artistic movements with contemporary innovation. This carefully curated exhibition features 40 extraordinary works that showcase the limitless possibilities when human imagination meets technological mastery.  More information and photos coming soon!

Have you got a name to replace "Community Chronicles" for our SCA weekly newsletters?   If so please send in so I can present some suggestions at the Communication Governance Committee meeting next Wednesday.   The name was changed from" Eblast" to Chronicles by Doug Bradford, Communications manager who is no longer with us.   Most think it's too old and stuffy and needs a new name.

New Year's Resolution - take more classes at the Computer Club!

We are still working on dates for our classes at Independence with Community Lifestyles which oversees clubs and Activities dept.    You can go directly to our website at multimedia.scaclub.org.    More info is in the SPIRIT this month which you should have.   I welcome any moral support next Friday for the CLC meeting 9:30 Arlington room Anthem Center.  We have teaching in our charter and need space to do that.
